Just a quick post this morning (7:24am Mountain Time) to show you our flabbergasting campsite in Ridgway, at the base of the San Juan range. Feel free to say, "holy moley!"
Make sure you didn't miss yesterday's blog btw!!!!!!!!!
Ah, well, back to the bars. The Coors Light sure is cold out here!
Don't worry Richard, no "actual" Coors-drinking going on here... We're just at the base of Mt. Sneffles, the mountain that shows up in all their Nazi-sympathizing propaganda. We'll be "tapping" the "Rockies" in a "very" different way "today" "!"
Congrats on your journey so far, guys. What's your path through Utah? You probably aren't headed as north as SLC, but if you are give my brother a call. I'm sure he can hook you up with a bed, meal, etc. ~Sara
Showed your blog & some of your other bike photos to a group of 7th graders yesterday. They were fascinated -- and were particularly impressed about your comment on the Continental Divide (you know, that you could pee into both Atlantic & Pacific @ that point. But that reaction shouldn't surprise you -- They ARE 7th graders, after all!) They also suggest that keeping food inside your sleeping might NOT be a good idea; pretty insightful for middle school kids!
Hol-ay Mol-ay!
ReplyDeleteBoy - don't drink coors - you are funding crazy right-wing republicans (and I am not kidding)! You should be drinking Flying Dog out there.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! Thanks for the updates and keep them coming. Are you having a great time? Holy Moly!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so proud of you for riding that mountain! Jeeze. I love your lives much more than my own right now. Reading loyally, sending love.
